nosymbolrequired comes from the health and safety traffic signs, where an oxymoron is used to show that a hazardous vehicle bearing no hazardous goods, doesnt require a sticker, but needs the sticker "no symbol required" added.
We took nosymbolrequired to mean something else also. Being against branding, for the sake of branding alone, struck a chord with us, and the name stuck
some facts: nosymbolrequired is always spelt as one word, with the "n" always being lower case
