Guiness world record challenge

A few years ago Mark from nosymbolrequired ran the „worlds toughest footrace“, the Marathon des Sables. On this challenge he met some remarkable people, one of them being Andy Mcmenemy, who became his running partner throughout the race.

Since the Marathon des sables, Andy has continued to push himself, and has found a challenge that is as worthy as the charity he is supporting. Challenge66 will see Andy McMenemy, challenge the Guinness World Record for consecutive endurance marathons with no rest days. The official record currently stands at 52, set by a Japanese runner

During Challenge 66, Andy will run 66 Marathons in 66 Days, one from each of the 66 official Cities in the United Kingdom.

Please check out the challenge 66 website for more information, get in touch with Andy and have a chat, and, also sponsor him for this worthy challenge and worthy cause.

But, wait, you want to do more? Well, why not write to the challenge 66 team and run one of the marathons alongside to really show your support, or if this is a bit much, offer to hand out drinks, measure courses, or even just turn up to show your support and give Andy that extra push he will need.

(mark from nosymbolrequired will be running alongside Andy on the Norwich and Cambridge marathons, and also, hopefully a few more, why not join us!)

Andy has a great outlook on life, and has great determination and strength. He happens also to be the inspiration behind the t-shirt "get out = put in" from nosymbolrequired, which is shown below. We might possibly, nearer the time, bring out a special edition of the t-shirt for people to buy and show their support, with all proceeds going to the charity Andy is running for. It will depend on the interest shown by you, so drop us a line...(get out equals put in t-shirts are only available at the moment to subscribers to our email list)
