Designer clothing and t-shirts for wake, skate, snow and surf by nosymbolrequired

An average t-shirt only contains 73 percent cotton. The rest is made up of all the chemicals and pesticides used to grow and manufacture the cotton crop. Imagine how many chemicals you are putting next to you skin?
Also, Farmers in the third world are involved in a vicious circle. They were lent the money to buy pesticides to have more yield on their crop by the pesticide companies. However, the land became used to the pesticides and then they needed to use more chemicals for the same yield. So, the pesticide companies lent the pesiticde companies lent them more money, for less crops each year, for more pesticides, for more debt. Crazy.....
So, organic not only means you get more cotton for your money, it also helps the farmers realise theres another way. They can reintroduce the old ways of farming, and loose some of the crops each year to the natural pests like the baumweavil, but in the long run, have less debt and more yeild. Sometimes returning to the basic principles is better for all involved.
